These are not literally ghosts, but rather Stalker getting a hold of herself and her anger. She could easily kill Nia now, but she knows that wouldn’t be right, that it’s not what her parents would want.
Reading it over now, I can’t help but hear Disney music playing in my head, “Let it go, let it go…” Of course, this was written and drawn back in 2011/2012, years before that particular movie came out.
In the end, Stalker forgives her and takes her out of there.
